Egyptian Statues Beautify Our Homes

An especially fascinating category of Egyptian decor is statues. They reflect the grandeur of the rich styles favored by the elite of ancient Egyptian society. These statues depict such subjects as sand-colored obelisks, the mysterious sphinx, an Egyptian girl on a boat, and the goddess Isis with open wings. Gods and goddesses were a favorite subject of the Egyptians; these included Ptah (god of craftsmen), Khons (protector of night travelers), and Hathor (the personification of the Milky Way). Statues of ancient Egypt beautify our homes as they depict royalty as well as gods and goddesses from that long ago society.
